Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imagfrrg CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase roue be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with tbe .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. lOn a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has detemvned that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS dcea not support or endorse this soRwaro and the licensing and registration are the user's responst'bility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview„ and .'Imaging for Windows". Instructlona: 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. ow time for the CD to install. 3 Eject the CD from tbe computer. Reinsert fire CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE; A program called QuickView Autonm, which runs the QtrickView setup program has also been copied to this CD. If the Autotun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.co.us. The Permit File document images can be viewed in the receptlon area of the ORMS office or they can be purchased ou a CD or DVD. The CD/DV D porchase cost rnvers the time and tabor of making the CD.
