The Hawk's Nest mining operation is comprised of four separate disturbed <br />areas: 1) East Mine; 2) West Mine; 3) Silo Area; and 4) Refuse Disposal Area. <br />Revegetation work to be accomplished under this contract is limited to the <br />East Mine. Facilities demolition and earthwork were completed at this site in <br />the summer of 1991 under Bid No. RN-GOAL-MINES-4. Project work will involve <br />seedbed preparation, seeding, fertilizing, mulching, installation of erosion <br />control blankets, and installation of a hay bale drainage control system. <br />Adequate rights-of-way needed for access to the project area and within the <br />working area limits specified for this project have been acquired by or on <br />behalf of the OWNER. <br />The East Mine area is located within the E1/2 of Section 11, T135, R90W. <br />III. Pro.iect Work Specifications <br />1.0 Mobilization/Demobilization <br />1.1 Description <br />This specification covers the CONTRACTOR'S operations for: <br />a. Payment of premiums for bonds and insurance acquired specifically <br />for the construction of this project, including premiums for <br />performance and payment bonds; <br />b. Movement of personnel, equipment, operation supplies, and <br />incidentals to the project site, but not within the work limit area; <br />c. Preparatory work at the construction site; <br />d. Demobilization of CONTRACTOR'S equipment and all other facilities, <br />final project clean-up, and for all other work for which payment is <br />not otherwise provided for under the contract. <br />The temporary works and construction plant may include, but not be limited to <br />the following: <br />a. Workshops, offices, storage yards, and construction plant and <br />equipment including spare parts, fuels, and oil; <br />b. Sanitation facilities, communication facilities, and sprinkler <br />trucks; <br />c. CONTRACTOR'S electrical power system; <br />d. Other items such as water, compressed air, etc., not specifically <br />listed but required for the functioning of construction activities. <br />-3- <br />
