SPECIAL CONDITIONS Hawk's Nest Mine East Area Revegetation Project RN-COAL-MINES-6 I. Bidding Information Proiect Location The Hawk's Nest East Mine is located approximately 22 miles east of Hotchkiss, Colorado in Gunnison County along an old segment of State Highway 133. Exhibits 1, 2, and 3 attached to the bid package provide general and specific project location information. Pre-Bid Meeting/Site Showing A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing will be held at the site on October 3, 1991 at 1:00 P.M. Prospective Bidders should meet at the regraded mine site located along the old section of State Highway 133 (See Exhibit 2). The pre-bid meeting is for the purpose of showing prospective bidders the work sites and vicinity. Failure to attend the entire meeting will be cause for rejection of a bid. Bidders are cautioned that, notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications given at this site meeting and site showing, all terms and conditions of the contract documents remain unchanged unless they are changed by written amendment issued by the OWNER. If the answers to questions, or any amendment to the contract documents create ambiguities, it is the responsibility of the bidder to seek clarification prior to submitting a bid. Bid Opening Date The bid opening date for this project is October 17, 1991, at 2:00 P.M. A written tabulation of the Bid results will be available to those bidders who submit a self-addressed stamped envelope with their bids. Telephone requests cannot be honored because of time constraints. Time of Completion Work at the East Mine is to be completed within 30 days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed, but no later than December 15, 1991. Liquidated Damages The liquidated damages for this project will be $100.00 per day/ Please see the "General Conditions" No. 10. Bid Bond A bid bond is required for this job. Please see the "General Conditions" No. 4.
