I hereby request continuance of this matter to the next, regularly scheduled P tanning Commission meeting in July. This SUP was issued in ]997. The: applicant has not yet established use ofthe property under the terms of the SUF'. As such, the One Year Review is required to ascertain the status of the applicant's use ofthe property in order for the Planning Commission to make a formal determination as to whether they should allow the SUP to stand, and extend the review period, or revoke the SUP. I am not recommending revocation of the SUP at this time. I am requesting a continuance so that the Department of Public Works can re- examine conditions placed upon this SUP, ht light of conditions drat may be placed on the issuance of an SUP on the Seal property. Since the use that was permitted under SLIP 97-009 has not been established, I believe that the Planning Commission has the authority to unilaterally continue this matter to allow for further investigation of conditions by Public Works.
