SEp 30 1893 Dear Ms. Burgmaier: The following is in response to the Division's questions concerning seed mixes and shrub transplanting for the Seneca II Mine in 1993. 1. Approximately five acres will be planted with tree and shrub seedlings during the last week of September 1993. As in the past, the actual acreage planted will be reported in the Annual Report for the Seneca II Mine. 2. The three herbicides specified in PWCC's June submittal were included in order to (1) notify the Division of their intended application, and (2) receive approval for their use. Currently, Appendix 13-5 of the Seneca II permit lists 2,4-D, Banvel, and Tordon as the primary herbicides used in weed control. TR 27, currently under review, contains revised Tab 13 text which includes a weed control plan (p. 28 to 30) and a general discussion of herbicides. Responses to comments from the Division regarding TR 27 will result in re-submittal of the revised Tab 13 document. included in the re-submittal will be Table 13-7 "Herbicides to be Used at the Seneca II Mine" (as of 9/93). This table lists the current and planned herbicides to be used at the Seneca II Mine. The table will be revised when herbicides are added or deleted from the list. A draft copy of Table 13-7 is included with this response for your review. Since Table 13-7 will be included with information related to TR 27, it is felt that submittal of necessary.
