Hydrologist
Number of Pages (including rn/s page):
Remarks: I have compiled data from Golden Eagle's three alluvial wells for their period
of record. and compared it with flows at the USGS Station on the Puraatoire River at
Madrid /07924200). This site is located aooroximately twelve miles below the Go/den
Eavle Mine Thus the flows in the river st the aaa/na station will be higher then those
observed at the mine from Seytember through June. There are irrigation headgates
between the mine and the oavina station. so summer flows may be less conservative
than during other times of year. The USGS station was chosen due to the accuracy of
the data for daily flow measurements. Wyoming Fuel surface water stations were not
ahvavs sampled on the same day that well monitoring occurred. The areohs Show
months. but flows were acouired for the actual date of sampling o/ the well.
Undert»ininv oI the North Fork of the Puraatoire River alluvial valley !loor occurred
between Avr/I of 9988 and November of 1988_
The data at the three wells show fluctuations /n water levels comparable io
uctuetions in /lows alone the Puraatoire.
-,
EMironmenlal Planners. 9cienU»a, entl Enplnesrs
5990 Greernvootl Plaza BNtl. ~ Suite 250 ~ Englewootl, Colorado 80111
Phone (303) 850-0930 Fax (303) 721-9298
