Thar property is directly
downslope from the marble quarry- operated by Polpcor's Colorado Stone Quazries and
located outside Mazble, in Gunnison County.
As Mr. McIntyre stated, during his visit to the property over the Memorial Dap
weekrnd he noticed numerous damaged azcas. For example, the McIntyres' access bridge
had been hit with mad base debris, tearing away a handrafl from its support. The most
severe damage concerns the quarry's rubble pile, which is located on a steep slope containing
the property boundary between the Mdntyres' property and the quarry. (The Mdntyres'
property is outside the quazry's operating azea.) Recently, the quarry dumped multi-ton
marble blocks from the top of the slope, which landed on the McIntyres' property. In
addioon, the quarry also recently dischazged slurry down the slope, which runs through the
blocks, erodes the McIntyres' property and eventually winds up in the Yule Creek.
Mr. McIntyre and m}'self will be up in Marble the remainder of the week and would
be happy to meet with you to inspect the damage and provide you with copies of
photographs he took. lEyou can inspect the damage this week, please contact me at 970-
963-3025. Otherwise, please email me at my office (I:im~c~munt}'relau~.nct) to azrange a
time when we can discuss this matter further.
Yours tnily,
~~~~~
IGmberly A.
