Applicant, Grant Bros. Ranch LLC, is the owner of <br />6$ of the shares in the Loesch and Crann Ditch <br />Company, which represents the water right decreed <br />to the Last Chance Ditch. Grant Bros. Ranch LLC <br />has obtained a water allotment contract from Co- <br />Applicant, West Divide Water Conservancy District, <br />for 12.39 acre feet of water. <br />D. Statement of Plan for Augmentation <br />The purpose of this augmentation plan is to replace <br />evaporative depletions which occur due to exposure of <br />ground water at the Loesch Gravel Pit. The Loesch Gravel <br />Pit will have a surface area of 28.84 acres and will be <br />located on lands previously irrigated by the Last Chance <br />Ditch. The annual average unit consumptive use for this <br />historic irrigated acreage is 1.77 acre feet per acre and <br />the unit evaporation for one acre is 2.15 acre feet. 28.8 <br />acres of land will be taken out of irrigation, and 28.8 <br />surface acres of groundwater will be exposed. The net <br />consumptive use for 28.6 acres of irrigated land is 51.0 <br />acre feet annually. The annual evaporation for the <br />Loesch Gravel Pit will be 61.92 acre feet. <br />
