<br />• PUBLIC yOTICE <br />This publication consttitutes notice of the Colorado <br />Division's proposed decision approving an applicati <br />conduct surface coal mining under the provisions of <br />Co~~ :_. Q Reclamation Act of 1979_ ThP_an„];rar; <br />^~~s~gcs: <br />the Munger Canyon :line. The ettective date of this <br />1982. <br />Mined Land Reclamation <br />~n for a permit to <br />the Colorado Surface <br />~„s ~bmit d by <br />or <br />decision is October 14, <br />The area to be mined is located in Munger Canyon in Garfield County, <br />approximately 20 miles north of Fruita, Colorado along Highway 139. The <br />coal to be mined and surface to be disturbed is owned by the U.S. <br />Government. <br />nineteen stipulations have been included in this approval to ensure <br />environmental protection by the surface coal mining operation. Copies <br />of the proposed decision, including all stipulations, are available for <br />inspection at the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, Room 423, <br />Centennial Building, 1:13 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, <br />(303) 866-3567: A copy is also on file at the office of the Garfield <br />County Clerk ac the Garfield County Courthouse in Glenwood Springs, <br />Colorado, and at the Mesa County Clerks Office in Grand .junction, <br />Colorado. Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected <br />• by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such a request must <br />be made by October 13, 1982, be in writing, and state with reasonable <br />specificity the reasons for the. request and the objections to the proposed <br />decision. <br />• <br />
