The problems aze
as follows:
There is an appazent error in the SEDCAD runs for the pond SG-1 drainage area. Culvert
CCW-1B is shown, on Maps 1 E and 3E of Exhibit 66, to receive drainage from watershed
43 via ditch DSLY-9. At this point, discharge would be 156.85 CFS. The dischazge amount
used to size the culvert is based on flow to the culvert prior to the addition of DSLY-9, or
127.42 CFS. Accordingly MCC has determined that aCCW-1B should have a minimum
diameter of 48" . DMG ran the culvert calculation using the 156.85 CFS figure, and
determined that the minimum size should be 54". Our design run is enclosed. Please revise
the design for the culvert accordingly. A revision for this design should be received within
two weeks of this letter. Since the Shafr #1 and #2 bench is currently being constructed,
MCC should immediately ensure that the culvert installed is a minimum 54" diameter.
Topsoil stockpile #4, listed on Table 36A, is not on the referenced Map 53B. Dependant on
whether or not the stockpile was or will be constructed, it should either be removed from
Table 36A, or added to Map 53B, whichever is appropriate. This should be corrected the
next time Table 36A or Map 53B are revised.
Topsoil stockpile #6, shown on Map 53B, is not listed on Table 36A. This should be
corrected the next time Table 36A is revised.
4. The topsoil stockpiles listed on Table 36 are not labeled on the referenced maps. This
should be corrected the next time the maps are revised.
Should you have questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
n/l ul~P6 f
Michael P.
