Computer requlretnenb to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): I. A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD and must be installed on your computer in order ro use a DBMS imaging CD the fast time. Futtm use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your corr~uter that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picntre and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are marry other progams that work as well, such as "Lraging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Instructlona• 1. Insert the CD inro your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD ro install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autonm program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program Llstructions for trlamrally installing QuickView are availabie upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us. The Permit Ftle dceumemt images eao be viewed in the reception area of the DBMS otiice or they can De purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost covers the Nme and labor o[ making the CD. DBMS cammot provide computer related support.
