The information that you provided us via our conversation and MLRD publications were very beneficial for the development of our mining program at James- town. After carefully reviewing both our short-term and long-term mine exploration and development goals and the current status of existing permits on the property, we intend to proceed under the following general guidelines. Energetics will commence an underground prospecting/ex- ploration program within the next several weeks. This program will be conducted entirely underground and will utilize the existing 350 and 450 level adits for access. The location of these adits is within the Energetics Permit $M-80-128, which is currently on a reclamation- only status. As per your recommendation, this under- ground exploration work on an existing permitted site, would not require the filing of a Notice of Intent to Conduct Prospecting Operations. Since this initial exploration is the first phase of an overall development plan, however, we felt that notification to the MLRD would be appropriate and consistent with our proposed future activities. We have decided not to remove the 250 level dump at this time, because it would fall out- side of the 1,600 square foot surface disturbance limi- tation.
