The 2/7/07 inspection report (enclosed) notes no activity <br />at the site, <br />CM-25 Mine: The annual reports and inspection reports reviewed indicate that the site has been inactive over the <br />period of interest. <br />C-JD-7 Mine: The annual reports and inspection reports reviewed indicate that the site has been inactive over the <br />period of interest. <br />JD-6 Mine: Inspection reports from 2005 and 2006 (enclosed} indicated that this mine azea was active in 2005, but <br />ceased activity late in the yeaz or early in 2006. There are no production numbers in the annual reports reviewed for <br />this mine, <br />SR-13A Mine: The annual reports and inspection reports reviewed indicate that the site has been inactive over the <br />period of interest. <br />Ike No. 1 Mine: A letter from Cotter dated 6/21/05 (enclosed) states that development and production at this mine <br />would commence in July 2005. The development work was the driving of a new decline to access the ore body. The <br />annual report dated January 2006 (enclosed) states that development at his mine ceased in November 2005. The <br />reports do not indicate that or if there was any ore production during this brief period of activity. The other annual <br />reports and inspection reports reviewed indicate that the site has been inactive over the remainder of the period of <br />interest. <br />SM-18 Mine: Following the approval of a permit amendment on November 17, 2004, Cotter commenced mining ott <br />this lease, The September 2005 annual report (enclosed) states that the mine was in production; the September 2006 <br />annual report (enclosed) states that mining had ceased. The 5/4/05 inspection report (enclosed) describes mine <br />development that was occurring. The 10/5/OS inspection report (enclosed) states that the mine was in full production. <br />The 4/5/06 inspection report states that production had ceased. The other annual reports and inspection reports <br />reviewed indicate that the site has been inactive over the remainder of the period of interest. No ore production <br />quantities are provided in any of the reports reviewed. <br />JD-7 Pit: The annual reports and inspection reports reviewed indicate that the site has been inactive over the period of <br />interest. <br />C-JD-8 Mine: The September 2005 annual report (enclosed) states that the site was being mined; the September 2006 <br />annual report states that mining had ceased. The 6/16/05 inspection report (enclosed) states that development work <br />was occurring. The 10/5/OS inspection report (enclosed) states that the mine was in full production. The 4/5/06 <br />inspection report (enclosed) states that mining had ceased. The other annual reports and inspection reports reviewed <br />indicate that the site has been inactive over the remainder of the period of interest. No ore production quantities are <br />provided in any of the reports reviewed. <br />The permits administered by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety require environmental <br />protection and mined land reclamation. Under these permits, operators are not required to provide ore production <br />data, nor are they required to report specific dates of mine operation.
