The reclamation
activity involves demolishing and burying the two coal silos on the
Hawk's Nest site, and removing the associated conveyor system and
truck dump scale. Due to the possible public interest and
publicity, we may want to inform the newspapers and local
residents. The removal of steal work from the silos will most
likely begin tomorrow (2/3/94). The actual demolition of the silos
will take place during the weeks of February 14, 1994 and February
21, 1994. I will be able to give you the exact dates in the near
future.
Please let me know what information you may need regarding the
history of the mine and the reclamation plan. Thank you in advance
for your attention in this matter.
m:\coal\esc\hawk\940202a
