Re: Notice of Formal Public Hearings
Dear Dr. Corley:
This letter is serving to notify The Corley Company of its being scheduled to appear before the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board during the November 17-18, 1993 Board meeting.
The Corley Company has been placed on the agenda at its request to petition the Board for three
Declaratory Orders to terminate controversies or to remove uncertainties as to the applicability to
the petitioner of any statutory provision or of any mle or Order of the Board (C.R.S. 24-4-105
and Rule 1-4 of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal
Mining).
The petitions submitted are described as follows:
1. On October 18, 1993, in a letter dated October 16, 1993 and addressed to
Mr. Daniel I. Hernandez, The Corley Company petitioned the Board for a
Declaratory Order "to resolve questions concerning reclamation of the
Harrison Western coal waste on our lands";
2. On October 18, 1993, in a letter dated October 16, 1993 and addressed to
Mr. Daniel I. Hernandez, the Corley Company petitioned the Board for a
Declaratory Order "to resolve questions concerning bond release for
Weckerling and Canon Coal Corp. on our lands";
3. On October 26, 1993, in a letter dated October 25, 1993 and addressed to
Ms. Shawn E. Smith, The Corley Company petitioned the Board for a
Declaratory Order "to remove the [Newlin Creek light use] mad from the
permit area."
