PUBLIC NOTICE <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology proposes to approve a request for Phase I, II and III <br />bond release for the Burlington Northern Railroad Loadout for the Raton Crcek Mine. The Raton Creek <br />Mine, permit number C-82-055, is permitted to Energy Fuels Mining Company. The Burlington <br />Northern Railroad Loadout is one of three railroad loadouts approved under the Raton Creek Mine <br />permit. The 100 percent release of the reclamation liability bond was requested by Energy Fuels <br />Mining Company on August 31, 1993. The Division of Minerals and Geology proposes to approve the <br />complete release of the recl:unation bond for successful completion of all surface coal mining <br />reclamation operations in accordance with the approved reclamation plan for the Burlington Northern <br />Railroad I.oadout. The proposed decision would release the entire reclamation bond amount of <br />$7, 807.00. <br />The $urlington Northern Raihroad Loadout is located within Trinidad City limits, north of <br />Goddard Avenue and 0.25 mile east of Interstate Highway 25, in the NW '.G of the SE 'ti and in the <br />NE 'k of the SW 'k of Section 7, Township 33 South, Range 63 West of the 6th P.M. in Las Animas <br />County, Colorado. The loadout site may be located in the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Quadrangle Map titled "Trinidad East." <br />Copies of ffie proposed decision are available for review at the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, and at the Las Animas County <br />Planning and Land Use Office, Las Animas County CouNrouse, Room 104, Trinidad, CO 81082. Any <br />person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by the proposed decision, or any <br />responsible officer or. head of any Federal, State, or local government agency which has jurisdictioo_ by <br />law or special ezper-tile with rrsped to any environmental, special,'or economic impact involved in the <br />operation, or is authorized to develop and enforce environmental standards with rrspact to such <br />operations, may request an adjudicatory hearing. The request for the adjudicatory hearing must be <br />made in writing within 30 days of the first publication of this notice, and must state with specificity the <br />reason why the hearing is being requested. <br />
