Tffls SYYSP <br />application is submitted on behalf of Tony J, Beltramo and Sons, Inc. ("Beltramo"? and covers the <br />one year period from April 1, 2000 through March 31, 2001 (the 2000 Plan YearJ. A check made <br />out to the Division of Water Resources in the amount of 5217 far the plan review is enclosed. <br />DESCRIPTION OF FACILITIES AND OPERATIONS <br />The Beltramo Mine Pit is located in the South ha1F of Section 32, Township 20 South, Range 64 <br />West of the 6th P.M., Pueblo County; Colorado approximately one half mile northeast of the <br />confluence of Arkansas River and Fountain Creek as shown on Figure 1. The wet mining operation <br />at this site will create and maintain a pond with a water surface area no larger than nne acre. As <br />new area is mined :tn equal amount will be back(illed to limit the water surface exposed to one <br />acre. <br />Operations at the Beltramo Mino Pit may occur during all tv,elve months of the year, Water will be <br />pumped from the pond and used far dust control. Depletions will occur through evaporation from <br />the exposed water surface, from water lost with the mined product, and from use for dust control. <br />The 1999 plan included gravel washing for ten months, concrete production and dust control. <br />However, since Beltramo did not receive its well permit for this operztion until December no <br />groundwater was exposed or consumed in 1999. <br />PROJECTED USE AND CONSUMPTION <br />Evaporation will occur from a total of one acre of pond surface.
