The
concentration of free (or total cyanide) in these solutions
is less than 1.0°0. Tests of the concentration will be Trade
every four hours of operation. Permanent records will be
kept. Cyanide is added to the process at the point of agglo-
meration or injected into the eirecit after the carbcn
columns.
The cyanide is stored on site in steel drums in a locked
building. Calcium Hypochlorite is kept on site as a neutra-
lizing agent.
3. The pipes from 'the heap to the carbcn columns will be encased
in 6" PVC pipe to preclude loss cf solutior, in case of a pipe
break. If such a break would occur, the flow of solution
would return to the heap.
4. The four fact depth of the leach solution refers to the heap.
The heap is cort.ained in a pit 16C' X 6C' ant' 15' deep lined
with 30 mil Hypolon. The 15' berm coctains the heap and
solution. The pore space volume of the heap is approximately
10°t of the volume of the heap.
Engineering & Environmental Services
•` t•.
~~
••.r~`
