Due to an emergency
resulting from fires in Cyprus Empire Corp (CEC) coal stockpile it
was necessary to construct a ramp to access and fight the fires.
This ramp was constructed of coal and is on the south side of the
coal pile. The ramp blocks and covers ditch 5-D1 and culvert 38
(see Map 26 of Permit). In order to provide some protection for
area, CEC will build a temporary containment berm around the coal
ramp and disturbance which is now outside sediment containment.
It is anticipated that the ramp will be needed for two or three
weeks. CEC will remove all coal, reclaim and resecad the area when
these fires are under control.
If there are questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Terrell K. ohnson
Environmental Engineer
vld
enclosure
