Dept. of Natural Resc_~rces <br />SUBJECT: Hayden Gulch Project Technical Revision Request, <br />Permit # 77-99 <br />Our File AF 1-300-14 <br />The purpose of this letter is to advise you of the <br />formation of the H-G Coal Company, a general partnership <br />owned jointly and equally by wholly owned subsidiaries of <br />W.R. Grace & Co. of New York and Hanna i4ining Company of <br />Cleveland, Ohio, and to request a technical revision trans- <br />ferring authority and responsibility of the Hayden Gulch <br />mining reclamation plans and performance bond from W.R. <br />Grace & Co. to the new H-G Coal Company. There will be no <br />change in the mining and reclamation plans already approved <br />by the Mined Land Reclamation Board on October 27, 1977, <br />with an effective date to commence operations approved by <br />the Attorney General's Office on January 20, 1978. All <br />assets, permits, agreements, contract, and commitments, <br />including sales contracts for the coal and the mining <br />contract with Morrison-Knudsen Contractors of Boise, Idaho, <br />have been transferred in toto to H-G Coal Company subject to <br />approval by appropriate governmental agencies. It will be <br />H-G's obligation to conduct operations in accord with said <br />agreements with the full backing of the partners, W.R.
