On the Doagy No. 2, the soil is a Bouldery Clay Loam, Unit I with
approximately four (4) inches of useable topsoil . Salvageable area
of the waste dump will be approximately 2.5 acres which should yield
1340 cubic yards of topsoil .
On the affected area of the JD-8 lease block the soil is an un-
named Silt Loam, Unit IV with approximately fourteen (14) inches of
useable topsoil and subsoil . Salvageable area of the waste dump
will be four (4) acres which should yield about 7530 cubic yards of
topsoil . To maintain quality growth media in the stockpile, color
and alkalinity (pH 7.4-7.6) will be used to determine cut off depth.
3. Road construction in sagebrush parks will be avoided by using
existing roads as shown on Exhibit C-1.
4.
