<br />outline your concerns regarctinL; the above operation. lielnw I have
<br />addressed your concerns as they are presented at the site:
<br />1) Adequacy of cattle guarc(s - I [Hiked with Rout[ County Road
<br />Engineers and then behave a 4-4!.~rtttlc is sufficient. IE snow
<br />is removed from beneath thc.cattlz l;uard nr not bladed over the
<br />cattle guard, the guard should E~tnCCiU^ efficiently year around.
<br />I sugf;est closer attention be paid to the.ataintenanceoE the cattle
<br />guard during; chc winter months.
<br />2) Location of mine permit identification signs - Sun Coal Company
<br />is reauried to display the sign at points of nubile access to the
<br />permit area. It i:; the Division's opinion that the signs in place
<br />at t!±is time demonstrate conm'_iance t:ith the regulations.
<br />3) Re-establishment of ditch paralleling railroad trac=:s - the
<br />permit boundary appears to incorporate this area; therefore Sun
<br />Coal should devise a plan Eor re-es tablishin,~ the ditch ar.d submit
<br />the plan to this office Eor approval. tbu should be consulted
<br />and :our colnmmen[s, where applicable, should be incorporated into
<br />the plan.
