Shelton <br />Director (;!' <br />P' <br />July 21, 1982 <br />Mr. Bi11 Robie ~ - <br />Adolph Coors Company <br />Department 807 <br />Golden, Colorado 80401 <br />RE: Stipulation to Keenesburg Mine Permit C-028-81 <br />Dear Mr. Robie: <br />The Keenesburg Mine Permit C-028-81 contained a stipulation requiring the <br />establishment of a means of species diversity evaluation, and applicable 'r~•1 <br />success standards (Stipulation HIl). 1' <br />In response to your letter of July 8, 1982 we are proposing the following wording <br />to resolve your concerns and Stipulation NlI: <br />The operator shall establish a minimum of seven (7) perennial species, <br />of which four (4) are. warm season grasses, two (2) are cool season <br />grasses, and one (1) is a forb, to be measured using relative frequency <br />(taken by species). No one component (species) of the above should <br />comprise greater than 40°; relative importance, nor less than 3e relative <br />importance. This species diversity standard is subject to periodic <br />reevaluation and adjustment as warranted by site-specific data provided <br />by the operator to the Division. <br />Please indicate by August 16, 1982 or sooner whether you agree with the wording. <br />If you would like to discuss this please contact me. <br />;' ( ` /~ /! <br />Robert G.
