D~r~•~ o,r
Please find enclosed a memorandum that provides an assessment of the potential for off-
aite impacts that may be caused by blasting at the Phil Sheridan Lode. Essentially, the
Division has found that your current level of blasting would not produce damaging ground
motions.
As we discussed last week, there are two remaining requirements that must be satisfied
for the Phil Sheridan site to be in compliance with the Reclamation Permit.
1. An entrance sign must be posted in accordance with the terms of the 9/25/95
inspection report.
2. Youlnust provide the Division with maps, cross-sections, and narrative sufficient
to describe in detail the proposed extent of underground workings that will be
opened-up or rehabilitated. Once this information is reviewed and accepted by the
Division, it will be incorporated into the permit as a technical revision.
Please provide the requested information on your proposed mining by no later than
December 15, 1995. Please note that this is an extension of the previously imposed
deadline o~f December 1, 1995 established in the 9f25f95 inspection report. Failure to
provide the required information by December 15, 1995 could result in an enforcement
action by '.he Division.
If you have any questions, or if I may be of any assistance, please contact me.
Sincere l/y, I//(/ _
L/ 'L ^Y
Allen C.
