Under the Colorado Open Mining Land Reclamation Act (31+-32-101, C,R.S., 1973)• operators are required to make application to the Land R^clamet.i.on Board, State of Colorado, for an open mining permit to mine sand and grave:L, etc.. A copy of this act is enclosed. In response to your inquiry about the two operations near Durango, may we offer the following: The Reclamation Section received a letter in August, 1975 from Burnr:tt Construction Compar>,y stating they were applying for an open mining _~ermit. They included a plan of reclamation and a map. We are enclosing a ~:opy of their reclamation plan. In relation to Animas Aggregates, we have not received any application for an open mining permit from this company. 41e will send them a copy of 'cur regula- tions and an application. A small problem exists in that we have n~ mailing address for Animas A~+regates. If you can help us in this respect, please forward an address so we can correspond with them.
