We realize that at the time of the original permit, 1977, these were no homes in this area <br />There are mw. This was obviously not taken into account before reissuing the permit in <br />2003. All of us have moved here because of the beautiful views of the Collegiate <br />mountains, the Arkansas River, which flows nearby each of our homes and the quiet we <br />had found here. We open our windows for mountain "air oomiitioning" as that is modus <br />operandi for all of us in this county. <br />We did notify Mr. Baldwin and Mr. Ary and both have been very cooperative in their <br />concern about our complaints The "fugitive dust" was watered down one day during <br />operation and Mr. Baldwin assured are he would not operate during the last week of July, <br />if I reminded him, as we have a retreat with musicians here at that time. One of our <br />neighbors works at home, incidentally wort that is connected with the EPA and two <br />neighbors operate B & B's which, of course, have m tolerance at any time for the dust <br />and noise caused by the gravel pit operation <br />We have spoken with Don Rymer, Engineering Planning Director, for Chaffee County, <br />Wayno Urbonat; F~vironmenfal Health Manager for Chaffee Cou~y and Theresa <br />Amoroso of Air Pollution Control for the State of Colorado.
