The modification addresses changes in the proposed mining
operation by the incorporation of a highwall miner into the mining plan. The modification also
includes an increase in the LMU recoverable coal reserves, due in part to the addition of the
highwall miner.
The Bureau of Land Management's, Little Snake Field Office has completed a review of the
proposed R2P2 modification and has determined that it will approve this modification, subject to
comments from the Division of Minerals and Geology.
