AdemaCounty Planning Depanmenl ~ III IIIIIIIIIIIII 111 Board :ou• Commissioners
Colorado 4955 East 74th Avenue 999 Commissioners: Leo M. Younger, Jr., District 1
Commerce City, Colorado 80022 Steven E. Cramer, District 2
(303) 287-5249 Ronald D. Nichol, District 3
February 25, 1986 RECEIVE
FEB z s ~sas
Mr. Gary Tuttle
Tuttle Applegate Rindahl, Inc.
11990 Grant Street, Suite 410
Northglenn, CO 80233
Dear Mr. Tuttle:
I am in receipt of your letter of February 10, 1986, in regard to
the lack of approval for gravel mining on the Adams Aggregate ownership,
currently operated by Ready Mixed Concrete Company, in the SE-1/4
Section 23, T1 S, R67W. On the basis of the information provided in your
letter, I researched the issue in somewhat more depth.
~ The Adams County Board of Adjustment originally approved a gravel
mining permit to Princeton, Ltd. on January 5, 1961. This permit was
renewed as Case #A-15-66 on February 3, 1966. The permit was again
renewed on February 4, 1971 as Case #A-34-71 in the name of Adams
Aggregate, Inc. This permit was to expire in five years and our files
show no record of any further permits being granted on this parcel.
The Adams County Board of County Commissioners acted on Case
#145-73-Z on January 7, 1974, giving approval to Adams Aggregate, Inc.
for gravel mining on the specific parcels denoted on the attached map.
Please note that the parcel in the SE-1/4 Section 23, T15, R67W, is not
included.
On the basis of our records, therefore, it appears that Adams
County approval for gravel mining in the SE-1/4 Section 23, T1S, R67W,
expired on February 4, 1976. In order for gravel mining to continue on
this tract, it will be necessary to submit a new application to the
County. Should you have data to the contrary or need further
clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me at 287-5249, Ext.
300.
Sincerely,
~i>N7Maa~ ~ ~a G(~+~X
Thomas E.
