L\C f~005 <br />X~OYY <br />Sanbom Creek Mine <br />Re: Pre-blasting Survey Notification <br />Blasting Schedule Notification <br />December 15, 1997 <br /> <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Oxbow Carbon & Minerals, Inc., Sanbom Creek Mine, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4.08.3 <br />of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Boazd, hereby publishes the following <br />blasting schedule. The blasting azeas are located in parts of the S/2 of Section 8, and SW/4 of <br />Section 9, T. 13 S.; R 90 W. 6th P.M Blasting operations may be conducted daily between sunrise <br />and sunset from January 1 to December 31, 1998. All roads leading into the blasting area will be <br />blocked at least 10 minutes prior to the blast by a manned vehicle having radio contact with the <br />blasting foreman to prevent the entrance of livestock or unauthorized personnel to the blasting area. <br />The blast area will be cleared by the blasting foremaa A hom sounded intermittently for one minute <br />will be used for the blast warning signal. The all clear signal will be a hom sounded continuously for <br />one minute. Blasting will not be conducted at times different from those announced in this notice <br />except in emergency situations where rain, lightning, or other atmospheric conditions or operator or <br />public safety concerns warrartt unscheduled blasts. <br />If you are a resident or owner of dwellings or other structures located within one-half Hole of the <br />~ permit area, you may request apre-blasting survey by contacting William Carter, Colorado Division <br />of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, Phone: (303) <br />666-3567. Upon request to the Division by a resident or owner of a dwelling or structtue that is <br />located withinone-half mile of such blasting activity, Oxbow Carbon and Minerals, lnc. will <br />promptlyconduct apre-blasting survey of the dwelling or structure. <br />You have been sent this notification based on our current mailing list. If you aze no longer an owner <br />or resident in the ama, or if you know of someone we should have contacted, please let us know. If <br />you have any questions, please call Thomas C.
