We have reviewed this request for
information, and provide the following response.
The Division currently has no unabated violations issued to Colorado Yampa Coal Company
(Eckman Pazk Mine #I & #2; Mine 3), Cyprus Empire Corporation (Eagle #5 & #9 Mine), or
Twentymile Coal Company (Foidel Creek Mine). Cyprus Orchard Valley Corporation is no longer
the operator of the Orchazd Valley Mine. That mine is now known as the Bowie #1 Mine, and is
permitted now by Bowie Resources Limited. Cyrpus Orchazd Valley Corporation does not operate
any other mines in Colorado.
Neither Colorado Yampa Coal Company, Cyprus Empire Corporation, nor Twentymile Coal
Company aze under permit suspension, permit revocation, a cease and desist order, or bond
forfeiture. None of these three entities owe money for unpaid fines, fees or civil penalties.
Please contact me if I may be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
4U2u
~~~~
Daniel [.
