Computer requirements to use the DBMS document Imaging CD (or DVD): i. A program called t~uickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DBMS imaging CD the first tins:. Future use of this or other immging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax VieweP' or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IzfanView'", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work witlt QuickView. After downloading "h-fanView", it needs to be configured as your default .df viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Inatructiona• 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to instap. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You ue ready to view the Perarit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. if the Autorun prop~am does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us.
