SHERIDAN EN • RPRISES, INC. ~ _^__ _ III I II I II I II IIII III
9 7 4 s East Hampden Avenue ...., _ .. .
No. Ss0
Denver, Colorado 80231 RECEIVED
(303) 7si-oo93
December 1, 1980
Mr. Hamlet J. Barry
Mined Land Reclamation
1313 Sherman
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Mr. Barry:
DEC ~ 31980
MINED LAND pECLAMATIONECOAI:
CCKO, DF-i. OF NAiLIRAL RESWRCES
You may recall a previous conversation we had regarding supplemental work
that was to be undertaken at the Munger and McClave Canyon sites, north
of Loma, Colorado. A great deal of this work has been completed as interim
protection measures preceding completion of road construction and the re-
design of the work area. Photographs are enclosed showing some of the steps
taken.
At the request of a Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division inspector,
rubber matting has been installed at all culvert outlets as an erosion con-
trol measure. Atypical situation is shown in Photo No. 1.
Photos No. 2 through 4 show several of the new drop inlets and straw bale
barriers that have been placed at all cross drains along the access road.
The remaining photographs (No. 5 and No. 6) show the newly paved access into
the sites. As we discussed, even though this is not a requirement, we felt
that this effort would preclude large volumes of mud from being deposited on
State Highway IY139 at this access point.
If there is a need for any additional information, please let me know.
Sincerely,
~i~~
Walter Mueller, Jr.
President
blh
Enclosures (6)
