I am specifically marking these maps as "Preliminazy" as there aze a number of items
we need to address before I can make final edits to the maps. Since I do not have the
opportunity to immediately meet with you and go through the unresolved issues, I want to
submit these maps so you can take a cursory look at them before we arrange to get together. I
will be traveling out of the country during the week of September 22, but expect to be back to
my office on October 1.
Bob, I have marked all of these maps "Preliminary" although some of them are in final form.
I certainly do not suggest that you spend much time looking at these maps, as I should not
expect detail review from you on a submittal that is not permanent. These maps are not
intended to be a part of the permanent record. These maps are "working documents" only, so
as you do look them over briefly, please feel free to make mazks or edits as necessary. These
maps will need to be disca{'ded when IUSA finalizes the ma sand ~rrakes its formal
submittal. Q h - Not ~c ~ vti perms. ~'t le u~ 1lB ~ f'~'C
Here is a short explanation of each of the maps, with specific note of the items that remain to
be resolved:
1. GENERAL LOCATION MAP 1" = 300'
We prepared this map by importing the USGS topo base. Then we digitized the azeas
within the Permit areas so we could make detail maps as necessary. Field surveying
of all sites and areas was done with a GPS, and we have seen excellent correlation
ben the topo base and the GPS. We now have a fully digital map base that will
all s to revise and update as needed.
iary use of this map is for general area location; detail maps have been
for each of the mine sites.
