This will include maintaining existing drainage and sedim- <br />ent control structures and stabilizing any erosional features deemed excess- <br />ive which may occur. <br />Topsoil will be removed from the cut areas above the eastern hi-wall of the <br />East pit and stockpiled until it is replaced on the 2:1 slopes provided by <br />the cuts. <br />Dressing of OSP#1 side slopes will be done in such a manner that the toe of <br />the slopes will approach the 3 to 8 ft. berm surrounding the Southfield Mine. <br />This will create a drainage ditch directing runoff into ponds "A" and "B", and <br />protect the Southfield Mine as it now does. <br />All work will be done in accordance with generally accepted engineering pract- <br />ices and the requirements of the Colorado MLRD regulations. <br />It is hoped this will meet with your approval.
