The channel bottom will <br />be replaced overburden well coropaced with 9" to 12" of rip-rap placed in the <br />channel and up the sides of the channel 9" to 12". The rip-rap will be well <br />graded with the majority of the material over 4.85" in diameter. The rip- <br />rap will be durable metamorphic rock typical of the local gravel pits. <br />Grading will consist of ripping the final contoured land to a depth of four <br />to six inches. Ripping will be done along the contours as much as possible. <br />Where slopes are too steep for ripping along the contour, a dozer will be <br />used to track up and down the slope to create depressions to catch seed and <br />moisture.
