Dept. of Natural Resources <br />In response to stipulations listed on Grand Mesa Coal Company's <br />Permit C-034-81 issued by the Division on July 13, 1984, three <br />stipulations are being responded to by this submission. These three <br />stipulations are revisions to the permit application, and are suitable <br />for replacement or insertion into the permit application. Twelve <br />copies are attached for Mined Land Reclamation and the Office of Surface <br />Mining. <br />Stipulation 111 - Pond sizing calculation. Page 96a has been <br />revised to correct errors in the existing pond size, and includes a <br />proposal for upgrading the capacity to design size. Map 2.05.3(4)-2a <br />has been included to show the proposed cut and fill for the pond <br />expansion. Construction will commence soon after approval by the <br />Division, with completion scheduled to be by October 19, 1984. <br />Stipulation 1F2 - Stream channel reconstruction plan. Page 128a <br />has been revised to more fully discuss the stream channel reconstruc- <br />tion. Drawing 2.05.3(4)-2a has been added to represent the original <br />contours in the channel. <br />Stipulation 113 - Loadout drainage revisions. Pages 120 and 120a <br />have been revised to reflect the berm installed between the office <br />and the old factory building to handle runoff from the domestic coal <br />stockpile. Map 2.05.3(7)-1 has been revised to show the location of <br />the berm, <br />Stipulations~4-7 ;are monitoring and reporting requirements which <br />will be complied with. Stipulation 118 will be taken care of prior ,I <br />to exceeding a 400,000 tons per year production rate. Stipulation 1l9 ~~" <br />has been taken care of already. <br /> <br />-continued- <br />
