Long <br />Drvmm~ Director <br />The Division has received the telefaxed copy of your updated drilling methods plan and have <br />made the determination that the measures are adequate. On the submittal of a bond for the sum <br />of $29,423.00 we are prepared to issue an approved permit to conduct exploration activities on <br />the following drill sites described in your NOI application: 97001, 97002, 97003, 97004, 97005, <br />97006, 97007, 97008, 97009. <br />Recognize that the permission is contingent on the following actions: <br />(l) Twentymile Coal Company must submit documents proving permission for legal access to <br />sites 97001 and 97004 prior to drilling on those sites; <br />(2) Twentymile Coal Company must submit archaeological clearances for all nine of the sites <br />covered by the NOI; <br />(3) Twentymile Coal Company must notify the Division prior to drilling on sites 97010 and <br />97011 and submit the additional bond required prior to any activity related to those sites. <br />Since the Division review was accomplished using telefaxed materials, please submit a complete <br />copy of the revised updated NOI pages in toto. <br />If you have any questions, please note that I will be out of the office from 21 through 23 July. <br />You can leave me voice mail messages or discuss issues during that time with Larry Routten, <br />who will be covering these issues in my place. <br />Sincerely, <br />~rrG./~~G~IG <br />James R.
