If, during mining operations, previously unidentified cultural <br />resources should be discovered, the operator shall immediately cease <br />~ operations within the vicinity of the site and notify the regulatory <br />L authority. Operations shall not resume until OSM, the land managing agency, <br />~7~ 1~ and the State Historic Preservation Officer have had adequate opportunity to <br />assess the cultural resource. If any adverse impacts to fish and dlife are di tovered during the ~ ~`. <br />SQL / proposed monitoring programs, the appli nt must, in c sultation with <br />~ regulatory authority, take appropri measures to tigate the impacts. <br />8. Faulted blocks of coal within the limit of the approved permit area I~~,1. <br />shall not be left unmined without the expres written consent of the 1 <br />.r~ regulatory authority in consultation with a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) <br />CQ`~si•1 Area Mining Supervisor. When detailed ologic information concerning these <br />\y faulted areas is obtained through th fining process, detailed information and <br />plans shall be submitted to the re latory authority and the USGS Area Mining <br />Supervisor. A determination wil then be made by the regulatory authority <br />about the economic feasibility of recovering the coal., <br />9. No coal seams (Lennox, rider seams, Wad or coal seam splits 28 I~!' ~' <br />inches or greater in thickness will be spoi or left unmined without the <br />~~ express written consent of the regulat authority and the USGS Area Mining <br />t -\s~ Supervisor.
