This project is located <br />approximately 2 '/z miles southeast of Lake City. The proposed well sites are within the LKA No. <br />2 mining claim held by the applicant. The sites aze accessed by existing gravel and 2-track roads <br />off Highway 114. <br />The applicant's proposal is to drill and maintain 1-2 wells for the propose of gathering <br />groundwater quality data to 1) determine the feasibility of developing a future mining operation, <br />2) provide required baseline water quality data in the event a mining operation proposal is <br />developed, and 3) provide water quality monitoring data in the event a mining operation proposal <br />is approved. The wells would be drilled in mid to ]ate May, weather permitting. The wells are <br />needed by the applicant for their feasibility determination and for baseline water quality data for <br />at least one yeaz, but no more than three years. <br />Please submit any comments you have about this proposal for consideration in the application <br />process to the above address by May 12, 2006.
