Zhe 12,000 <br />shxvb and tree seedlings will be planted in six areas <br />totaling approximately seven ate. Zhe six areas all occur <br />in older reclaimed arnac with north facing aspects. 'These <br />areas have been prepared by disking the sites several times <br />during the growing season to reduce oca[q~eting herbaceous <br />vegetation. Seedlings are being down by Bitterroot Native <br />(Powers of Hamilton, Montana. With the exception of the <br />aspen which originated frcmm regional sources, all seedlings <br />are being grown frmn seed collected on or adjacent to the <br />mine site. <br />Further enhancements to improve survival acid establishmernt <br />of the seedlings will include application of Deer Away big <br />game repellent aryl spraying of the Gambel oak seedlings with <br />an anti-transpirant. Zhe Cambel oak seedlings have been <br />innoculated with myoorrhizal futgi developed fry soil <br />resources wllected from the mine site. Seedlings will be <br />planted in late September. <br />
