A possible inspection schedule for 1991 is also
provided, as is a summary of pending and/or potential issues for 1991.
Apex No. 2 Mine (Temporary Cessation)
Complete inspections -
01/25/90
04/25/90
0 7/ 26/ 90
05/25/50 (OSM Oversight)
10/17/90
Partial inspections -
STATE OF COLORADO
05/10/90 (Abatement)
Drainage control maintenance is the main issue at this site. During the OSM
oversight inspection of 09/25/90, the OSM requested that stream buffer zone
signs be posted. This was required of the operator, although the Division had
previously granted a blanket exemption regarding the buffer zone regulations.
Future inspections should focus on signs, drainage control, and non-coal waste
storage and disposal. All barrels should be monitored for leakage.
