As you know, Ford, Bacon & Davis designed the <br />haul road at the Deserado Mine. To the best of my know- <br />ledge based on review of plans and on field observation <br />and use, the haul road was built as originally designed. <br />Therefore, I offer the following statements to satisfy <br />the certification requirement on haul roads. <br />I certify that haul roads at the Deserado Mine were con- <br />structed in compliance with the approved plan as presented <br />on Map Numbers 56-67 (Drawing Numbers D-346-C-400 to D-346- <br />C-410 and D-346-C-412) and Section IV.D.2 (pages IV-34 to <br />IV-40) of the Deserado Mine permit. Please accept Diaps 56- <br />67 as as-built drawings since there are no major discrep- <br />ancies between the plans and the road as built. The road <br />was built to comply with all applicable regulations and <br />built according to plans, i.e., built according to Maps <br />56-67. <br />The disparity between Maps dated October, 1980, and February, <br />1981, is minor additions such as added signing and notes, <br />added pipe sleeves, etc. Please see the revisions notations <br />on the drawings. There were no major changes that affected <br />construction of the haul road. The maps in your permit (dated <br />October, 1980) are sufficient to document the way the road <br />was built and should remain part of the permit. You may <br />discard those maps dated February, 1981. <br />
