NOV-16-9T SUN 06:11 PM PROFESSIONAL. TRAVEL CORP 2029271128 P. 01
November 1 5, 1997
Mr. Dan Hernandez
~ Division of Minerals end Geology
1 31 3 Sherman $t.
Room 415
Denver, Colorado 80403
Dear Mr. Hernandez:
We own lot 29.4 in Rancho Escondido. Bason Resources drilled two test holes on our property which have never
been reclaimed as promised by Bason Ruources.
The first hole is in the northeast corner of our property and was drilled in an area of mostly pasture several years ago
and nature has pretty much done Basons job in reclaiming the land, however you can still see the outline of where
they drilled and the land is sunk in a few inches in this area.
The second hole was drilled about 2 years ego, this site is on the southern part of our property right on the road. It
is approx 100ft in diameter and was clear cut. There were 30 to 60 foot ponderossa and other pine trees in the
area. Bason pushed the stumps and the trees out of the way of their drill hole and left them pushed up against other
trees and rock around the perimeter of the drill area. We have spoken with Ron Thompson at least 3 times, each time
he promised to fix this mess. The first time we met he actually went with us up to the property to survey the damage
and even he was appalled at the mess and promised the have a crew up their to replant trees and clean up the
~ stumps end dead trees. To this date it has never happened.
Since this last hole was done to a treed area 4 seers ago, mother nature has taken its toll upon the land and it is
deteriorating from wind, rain and snow.
W¢ feel that Bason Resources should not have their bond returned until our property is reclaimed to the way it was
before they drilled.
Sincerely,
Diane and John L. LaRosa
8745 Birkenhead Ct.
Laurel, MD. 20743
301.498.307 5
~ _
G~
w
