Uh t1A Il ~'•L RESC::C CS <br />In accordance with Stipulation IJo. 11 of the Mining Permit No. <br />C-033-81 we have prepared a stability monitoring plan for the access <br />road and portal bench area of the Bear No. 3 I.1ine. The monitoring <br />plan consists of eight (8) surface stations as shovrn on the attached <br />map. Construction of the portal bench tie back wall, crib lock wall <br />and access road are nearly complete. Bear Coal Company plans to <br />install these stations as soon as practical after approval of the plan <br />by the Division. The following monitoring plan v;ould then be <br />implemented: <br />1onitoring Station Design <br />Stations P64, PB-6, PB-7 and PB-B consist of 5/8 inch x +36" <br />rebar or equivalent driven to resistance <br />Station IJo. PB-1 consists of surface huh grouted or permanently <br />placed on in-place sandstone formation inlnlediately ahove coal <br />seam. <br />Stations IJo. PG-2 and PB-3 located on head of tie bark wall <br />bolts. <br />Station No. PB-5 established nn crib lock wall <br />Survey Schedule <br />Determine Ircrizontal and vertical location of all eight (8) <br />monitoriny stations inlnlediately after installation <br />
