Identification, Classification, and Numeric Standards <br />1. Identification: Segment 1, Lower Gunnison River Sub-basin, <br />Gunnison River Basin. <br />2. Classification: High Quality Class 2 <br />Aquatic Life Class 1 (cold) <br />Recreation Class 1 <br />Water Supply <br />Agriculture <br />3. Numeric Standards: The Standards which have been assigned in <br />accordance with the above classifications <br />can be found in 3.5.0 Classification and <br />Numeric Standards for the Gunnison and <br />Lower Dolores River Basins (5 CCR 1002-8), <br />as amended January 30, 1991. It should be <br />noted that this facility does not discharge <br />pollutants which are limited by water <br />quality standards with the exception of pH. <br />IV. FACILITY INFORMATION: <br />The facility indicated that all storm water is directed to the mining pit <br />and discharged during dewatering operations. The permittee did not <br />report, in the permit application, any additional modifications to the <br />facility since the issuance of the last permit. Therefore, a description <br />of the facility, wastewater sources, discharge point(s) and treatment <br />received by the wastewater is identified in a previous certification. <br />Please refer to Figure 1 of the permit for a current map of the facility. <br />V. ANTIDECRADATION: <br />These are not reviewable waters pursuant to Section 3.1.8(3)(a) of the <br />Basic Standards and Methodologies for Surface Water (5 CCR 1002-2), based <br />on a finding of no increased water quality impact. <br />
