Enclosed
is a Reclamation Progress Map, Map 137, which shows the disturbance
in Mining Area No. 3 through March 20, 1993. A small 1.2 acre
portion of drainage area F has been disturbed. A temporary
collection ditch has been constructed to divert run-off from the
1.2 acre portion of drainage area F to drainage area B.
Prior to construction of Pond F, it is anticipated that an
additional 1.7 acres of drainage area F will be disturbed. The
temporary collection ditch will be extended to divert the run-off
from the additional disturbed portion of drainage area F to Pond B.
Drainage area B encompasses 357 acres, reference Exhibit 9, page 9-
6. The temporary addition of 2.9 (1.2 + 1.7) acres to this
drainage area amounts to an addition of 0.8 percent of the total
area, (2.9/357 = 0.88). This additional drainage area is not
considered significant and the run-off from the additional drainage
area will not have a measurable impact on the design capacity of
Pond B.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jim Stover, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
cc: Rick Ward
