Banra. <br />Drvis~on Director <br />On May 10, 1990 our Division received a copy of a letter from the Colorado <br />Department of Health addressed to you. <br />This letter referred to petroleum contamination at the Fox No. 1 Mine located <br />in Pueblo Gounty, Colorado. It appears, from this letter, that there are <br />petroleum contaminated soils on the mine site. It is not clear from the <br />information available, the extent of the contamination, or what your plans are <br />for the disposal of this material. <br />The Health Department also stated that final approval for the disposal of this <br />material must be obtained from the Mined Land Reclamation Division, a search <br />of our records shows no correspondence pertaining to this matter. <br />Please address this issue, including the nature of the contamination, its <br />extent, and your plans for disposal.
