The
program as set forth in the letter has been agreed upon by all concerned
parties; Energy Fuels Corporation, Colorado Division of Wildlife, U.S.
Fish and Wildlife, OSM and Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division. I am
sending this to you so we will all be aware of the final study plan.
The deadline for the preliminary 1981 elk calving data will be September 1,
1981. Copies should be sent to our Division and OSM. This deadline was
changed so that EFC will have time to collect additional vegetation
data and maximize, to the extent possible, valuable field time. It is
set with the understanding that if the preliminary calving data indicate
habitat management will be necessary EFC will notify the Division and OSM
so program design for habitat modification can begin and be completed by
the fall of 1981. It may be necessary to extend the date for the Final
report.
This sounds like an interesting and relevant study. I'll be looking forward
to seeing what kind of results you come up with. Please contact me if
you run into any problems or have any questions.
Sincerely,
~Qt~.t~trL ~~ C 7n.r.C ~i.
Sandra L.
