To ensure there is no future misunderstanding, Trans Colorado
Concrete (TCC) would appreciate written confirmation from the Division that Stipulation #2 refers only
to pit size, and that the existing bond ($410,693) is sufficient to cover the following uses and acreage
disturbances:
1. Up to 25 acres of mining disturbance (pit size); plus
2. Up to 50 acres of ancillary use disturbance, including portable processing plants, conveyors and
material stockpiles, scale and mobile scale house/office, overburden and topsoil stockpiles,
settling ponds, dewatering pipes and trenches, and internal haul roads.
TCC understands that if the mining area (pit) is expected to exceed 25 acres, then TCC will need to
ensure that an appropriate financial warranty is posted and written confirmation is obtained from the
Division.
Please call me with any questions. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Maureen Jacoby
Project Manager
cc: Kyle Frisinger, Trans Colorado Concrete (a Division of Pete Lien & Sons, Inc.)
