Computer requirements to use the DAMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's dcea not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD ar DVD that you purchase »>~ be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and anilti-page documems. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picttue and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QaickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DAMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.cont, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are merry other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview„ and "Imaging for Windows". Instructiona• 1. Insert the CD into your computer. Allow time for the CD to install. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Pernrit Files. NOTE: A program called tZuickV iew Autonm, which nms the QuickView ~ setup prograrq has also been copied to this CD. IF the Autoivn program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the t2trickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us.
